COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy Speaker Series

COVID-19 Vaccine Quality Assurance Site Visits

Topic: The Oregon Health Authority’s Oregon Immunization Program is contracting with ORPRN to conduct COVID-19 vaccine quality assurance visits across Oregon. The purpose of these visits is to support and improve COVID-19 vaccine programs throughout the state. Each visit follows a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-devised format and will cover COVID-19 vaccine storage and handling, recordkeeping, and preparation best practices. Site visitors will also observe administration of the vaccine.

Knight Pilot - Addressing CRC Screening Disparities with Systems Science Pilot

ADVANCE-PC - Aligning Dementia & adVANce Care planning Education in Primary Care

PI: Annette Totten, Ph.D.

Topic: This pilot study is funded by the National Institute on Aging-Imbedded Pragmatic Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and AD-Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) Clinical Trials (IMPACT) Collaboratory. It will assess the feasibility of using remote training and support for advance care planning (ACP) for dementia in primary care. Additionally, it will determine if primary care clinics can identify patients with dementia appropriate for ACP and track whether clinicians engage these patients and families in conversations and planning.

AHC - Accountable Health Communities

Suicide Prevention in Primary Care

PI: Brigit Hatch, MD, MPH

Topic: The Oregon Health Authority’s Injury and Violence Prevention Section is contracting with ORPRN to learn more about suicide prevention in primary care. Through surveys and key informant interviews with clinicians throughout Oregon, we seek to understand: 1) How primary care clinics are approaching the topic of suicidality, 2) If/how patients are screened for suicidal ideation and/or depression, 3) What local resources exist for supporting patients, and 4) Clinician comfort and knowledge around this topic. This project is research and participation is voluntary.
