- Identify etiologies and strategies to prevent maternal fever in labor.
- Understand the maternal and fetal risks associated with intrapartum fever.
- Describe the evidence-based management of maternal fever, including the role of IV antibiotics.

- Enhance understanding of vitals changes in the pregnant patient, healthy and ill.

- Understand early steps for sepsis diagnosis and treatment in the pregnant patient.
