Living well lecture series

march wellness & fitness center offers regular lectures on a wide variety of topics related to health and well-being. These sessions will cover a variety of topics and tap into the research of experts at Oregon Health & Science University and Portland State University.
Financial health seminars
One of the many dimensions of well-being is financial health. Financial problems contribute to stress and relationship problems, and financial stability enhances peace of mind and the liberty to pursue activities that foster health. In partnership with local financial institutions, march wellness & fitness center offers regular seminars on securing and protecting your financial health.
Foreign language conversation groups
If you're planning a vacation or just interested in learning a new language, we offer foreign language conversation groups, with the support of an instructor, a native speaker or as a self-led group.
Chinese brush painting
Ever think of making art as a wellness activity? Did you know that in ancient times Japanese Zen Buddhists practiced painting and calligraphy as a form of meditation? Join instructor Cindy Lommasson to learn and explore Chinese brush painting for relaxation and stress relief. An introductory class is required prior to intermediate classes, if you have previous experience please discuss the correct class level with Cindy. If you are taking the intermediate class please bring your own paper and paint. Paper and paint can also be purchased from Cindy for $3.
