Katelyn Slater, M.S.
Certified Personal Trainer
Katelyn earned her Master of Science in Applied Exercise Physiology from Mississippi College after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Mississippi. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine.
Katelyn’s dream in college was to become a physician. That is, up until she took an exercise science class “for fun” her senior year. She quickly saw exercise science for what it is - preventative and rehabilitative medicine - and found her passion. After tossing out all her applications for medical school and having a “fun” conversation with her Southern mother, she applied to and later began her Master's degree in exercise science.
Katelyn’s experience with personal training, health coaching, and teaching different modalities of group exercise classes has uniquely prepared her to train a wide range of age groups and individuals. She believes in a personalized, comprehensive approach to health and wellness that encompasses more than just exercise. She is passionate about focusing on sleep patterns, hydration levels, and nutrition changes to accelerate results. Katelyn believes that exercise can change your life if you let it.
Katelyn enjoys long walks on the Oregon Coast, traveling, visiting her family in Mississippi, talking about health and wellness, reading, and learning new things.
