In-class lectures and workshops
Librarians can visit your class to teach a workshop or give a lecture on topics such as:
- Searching the literature for research and evidence‑based practice
- Finding gray literature, including government reports and health statistics
- Using generative AI tools to support research and writing
- Checking evidence for quality and bias
- Applying evidence‑based practice models (like the Johns Hopkins EBP model)
- Understanding systematic reviews and other evidence synthesis methods
- Getting started with reference managers like Zotero or EndNote
- Designing clear and effective posters
- Finding images you can use under fair use
- Sharing and promoting your research
- Managing data throughout a project
- Exploring library resources and services in an orientation session

Textbooks
Submit your required and recommended texts in our Textbook Submission Form.
We’ll add required and recommended titles to our Textbook Dashboards for students. We’ll link to a copy of the item from our collection. We buy e‑books when possible.
Course reserves
If no ebook is available, print copies of required texts will be added to the BICC Service Desk reserve shelf for 7 day checkout with no renewals (see Locations and Hours for pickup availability).
