Non-OHSU Community Users

If you are an Oregon-licensed health professional, please see this guide: Resources for Oregon-licensed Health Providers

Access electronic resources

OHSU's electronic resources are not available off campus to users who are not current OHSU students, staff or faculty.

Electronic resources are available to all from guest computer stations located inside the Library. Computer stations are available between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Due to publisher licensing restrictions, we are not able to allow remote access to our electronic resources to non-OHSU users, including alumni.

Request articles

If you are an Oregon-licensed MD or DO with an OHSU barcode, your licensing fees pay for the Reprints Desk article delivery service.

Other non-OHSU community users may request scans of articles we own in print through our fee-based service. See our FAQ: How can non-OHSU users request articles owned in print via the OHSU Library?

We are unable to deliver articles for which we do not own print copies to non-OHSU community members.

Borrow print items

If you are not a current OHSU student, staff or faculty member, the easiest way to borrow our materials is to use the interlibrary loan service at your local public library. If that option is not available to you and you fall into one of the categories below, you may check out up to 3 items at a time from OHSU Library’s print collection by coming to the BICC library and setting up an account:

To register for an OHSU Library account, you must show current identification. Oregon licensed health professionals must provide current license information. Contact the Library to set up an OHSU Library account.
