Non-OHSU Community Users

OHSU Library’s Print Collection

Non-OHSU community users have the opportunity to borrow physical items from the OHSU Library. You can request that items be pulled and placed on the hold shelf at the BICC Library location. You will be notified when your item is available for pickup, usually within one business day. See below for circulation periods.

Material Type Circulation Period
Books 30 days, 3 renewals
Journals 7 days, no renewals
Multimedia 14 days, 3 renewals
Reference Books Library use only

Materials may be renewed by calling 503-494-3460. Not all items are renewable. Materials must be renewed before their due date, otherwise overdue fees apply. Note there are multiple ways to return items.

OHSU Library’s Electronic Collection

Non-OHSU community users can request materials through our interlibrary loan and document delivery requesting service if they are unable to vist the Library in person or if needed resources are not available in the Library’s collection. In addition to this service, current Oregon-licensed health providers, including MDs and DOs, may be eligible for supplemental services and resources.

Consumer Health

Non-OHSU community users may use OHSU Library’s public computers and collections for independent health research.
