The OHSU Flow Cytometry Shared Resource (FCSR) has operated as a core resource for OHSU investigators since 1996 and provides advanced flow cytometry instrumentation, technical expertise and technical services. Read about us
The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource is one of several OHSU resources supported by the Knight NCI Cancer Center Support Grant. The grant ensures that management and support services are available for the researchers and programs of the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.
We provide state-of-the-art flowcytometry instrumentation and associated expertise to all OHSU and the surrounding scientific community. Our instruments include three high speed cell sorters, six benchtop flow cytometer analyzers, one CyTOF mass cytometer, one Luminex, one Miltenyi AutoMACS Pro-cell separator and a Beckman Coulter Vi-Cell cell counter. Being a core facility, part of our mission is to educate investigators, staff and students about flow cytometry principles and technology.
The FCSR also provides assistance with experiment design, training on our cutting-edge flow cytometers, cell sorting and data analysis for researchers. We offer investigators a cost-saving option of allowing trained users to run their own samples. Finally, this shared resource saves valuable investigator time by giving them the option of having us analyze specimens for them.
