Taking Charge of My Health Care

About the project

The Taking Charge of My Health Care project is a toolkit of resources and videos designed to provide health and health care advocacy education for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and those who support them.

The toolkit provides people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the option to learn to advocate for themselves, as well as to use the materials to conduct a workshop for their peers. Covering 18 topics, including transition, this comprehensive resource contains information specific to the health and health care needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This project is led by the Oregon Self-Advocacy Coalition with support from our partner, the
Oregon Office on Disability and Health.
