Kirsten Aspengren selected as director of operations at OHSU Center for Health Systems Effectiveness

Aspengren joins the CHSE team with 25 years of program leadership experience in social services, public education, public healthcare and human rights organizations.

The Center for Health Systems Effectiveness welcomes Kirsten Aspengren, who will serve in the newly created director of operations role at the Center.

Aspengren brings 25 years of experience delivering equitable, efficient, impact-driven nonprofit programs, most recently serving as the associate district director for Lutheran Community Service Northwest where they supported over 100 employees across 48 districts to provide culturally appropriate social services from Seattle, Washington to Salem, Oregon.

A systems-oriented leader, during their tenure at the Educational Policy Improvement Center in Portland, Oregon, she helped to design and deliver the largest standards-based teacher professional development program, the internationally recognized AP Course Audit program, which audits 150,000 AP courses in 63,000 schools annually.

Aspengren will lead all non-research functions at CHSE, including general administration, personnel management, and financial management and forecasting.
