Advancing Research into Aging in Place
The CART Initiative uses technology to assess activity in a home, with the eventual goal of detecting the onset of medical problems that may need a doctor's attention. Funded by the NIA and the Department of Veterans Affairs and developed in partnership between OHSU, Rush University, the University of Miami, Oregon State University, University of Pennsylvania and the VA, the Initiative aims to facilitate the independence and well-being of older adults who are members of diverse communities.
