MOC Part 2 Credit for CME Accredited Activities

Why Add MOC Part 2 Credit?

  • Enhances the value of your CME activity by aligning with board certification requirements.
  • Encourages active engagement and reflective learning through self-assessment components.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.

Requirements for MOC Part 2 Credit:

  • The activity must be CME-accredited by an ACCME-accredited provider (such as OHSU CPD).
  • The activity must include an evaluation or self-assessment component that meets the standards of participating specialty boards.
  • OHSU CPD will handle reporting of MOC credits to the appropriate boards via the ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS).

Next Steps:

If you are planning a CME activity and would like to include MOC Part 2 credit, please indicate this on your CME Activity Request Form. Our team will guide you through the requirements and ensure compliance with ACCME and specialty board standards.

Quickstart Guide for ACCME's CE Educator's Toolkit

This online learning activity reviews some of the content of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. This online learning activity doesn't replace the CE Educator's Toolkit but serves as a starting point for encountering these ideas and as a supplemental tool to review them.  Reviewed within are three intervention strategies for education (Small Group, Case Based, and Reflective) and best practices for constructing and evaluating learning objectives. It also provides strategies for virtual and hybrid education.
