When |
October 3, 2022 to October 4, 2022
8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
About this activityDuring this 2-day we will Explore the National Academy of Science, Engineering & Medicine's (2021) high-quality primary care definition as well as consider in large and small interprofessional conversations the ethical and legal implications of working in interprofessional primary care teams. We will also engage with interprofessional primary care experts on ethical and legal concerns that are common when working in high-quality primary care teams. On the 2nd day, we will discuss the latest evidence and best-practices in suicide prevention, assessment & treatment from a national expert on the subject and re-think a unidimensional focus on suicide prevention directed to patients. We will also consider the increasing importance of suicide prevention strategy and a strengthening organizational culture to protect healthcare workers from occupation-induced depression, anxiety, substance use and dying by suicide or overdose and also provide an opportunity to engage with a team that has improved and sustained a large-scale suicide prevention program for over 10 years. |
