Our doctors and advanced practice providers provide care for all types of ear, nose, and throat problems that affect children. With the help of our friendly staff, we strive to provide compassionate, family-centered care for our patients. We take care of children age 0 to 18 (and their families). We are a part of OHSU-Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, and our primary clinic is located in the Physicians Pavilion building, 3147 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Suite 250, 97239.

Our providers share an interest in seeing all children who have head and neck problems. We frequently attend regional and national meetings in our specialty, which allows us to bring the latest and best practices to our patients in Oregon.  Several of our Pediatric Otolaryngologists have been named as one of Portland’s Best Doctors for the past several years.

We each specialize in various areas and participate in multidisciplinary clinics. These clinics include Hemangioma and Vascular Birthmarks, DCH Aerodigestive Clinic, Voice Clinic, Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic, Complex Sleep Clinic, and Pediatric Thyroid Nodule Clinic. We assist other medical teams in the integral approach to the care of medically complex children, working with other specialists to treat conditions such as cystic fibrosis, blood disorders, Down syndrome, pediatric cardiac disease, and head or neck tumors.

Together, we focus our expertise and technology to the unique needs of children and families. Children require a different approach to their medical care than do adults. While they can sometimes have similar diseases, children require a different approach because they are not simply "small adults". We work as a team to provide excellent and directed care for the problems and diseases of children.

Some of the conditions our Pediatric Otolaryngologists treat are:

Research

Our faculty is also devoted to research that will further the science of pediatric ear, nose, and throat care and, as such, will help us treat our patient with the most up-to-date techniques, medicine and information. Our team participates in multi-institutional research involving obstructive sleep apnea and thyroid diseases, for example.

How to Make an Appointment

Please contact our office regarding scheduling appointments. Prior to scheduling an appointment, our providers often need to review chart notes related to the reason you want to be seen in order to coordinate any additional tests they may need to make the most of your visit.  In most cases, a referral from your primary care physician is required. Once this is in place and we have received any necessary medical records, we would be happy to expedite the scheduling process.  Please contact us by phone or email to begin the process.

Our doctors and APP’s see patients in the Physician's Pavilion. Some of the specialized clinics are located at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in the main OHSU campus. Please ensure you know where your appointment will be prior to coming.

We work with providers in OHSU Otolaryngology and with doctors in Doernbecher Children's Hospital to provide you and your child with the best team for your child's condition. We are dedicated to providing the best care possible for your whole family, while caring for your child.
