Zeiss Celldiscoverer 7

The Celldiscoverer 7 (CD7) is a widefield system designed for automated time lapse imaging of live samples in multi-well plates. The system has a C02 and temperature incubation system to keep live samples at optimal conditions and a pipette port to add reagents during an experiment. The system accommodates a wide variety of sample carriers, from simple slides to 96 well plates. The ZEN Blue software allows users to calibrate the system to their sample carrier, input exact imaging positions and parameters, and create a focus strategy that will keep the sample in focus. Definite focus 2 helps the system detect and correct for any thermal or mechanical drift over longer time lapses.   

The objectives on the CD7 feature longer working distances than traditional objectives for optimal imaging of many types of multi well plates. The system also has a variety of tube lenses that provide additional flexibility to either increase or decrease the field of view.
