Randy West

Experience: Randy graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Chemistry, with a concentration in biology. Randy worked as a research assistant for two years at UC Santa Cruz in Bakthan Singaram's laboratory. As a research assistant at UC Santa Cruz, he focused on the synthesis of organoboron compounds in an inert environment using cobalt as a catalyst. At UC Santa Cruz he used nuclear magnetic resonance as a means of both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Currently Randy is involved in research projects which focus on people with multiple sclerosis. In his free time, he enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, and mountain biking.
