New OHSU Minority Investigator Recruitment and Retention Initiative Offers Opportunities for OHSU Faculty Mentors
Are you interested in helping to attract outstanding young investigators from underrepresented populations to your lab?
OHSU is currently organizing a new program to recruit underrepresented senior postdocs and promising junior faculty who have the potential to transition into tenure-track faculty positions. The program will provide start-up salary and a small amount of research funding support for program recruits. As part of our plan, each recruit and their R01-funded (or equivalent award) faculty mentor will be provided institutional support for writing NIH diversity supplements or other training awards to support the candidate.
The program will also include transition support to ensure new recruits have a smooth integration to OHSU and life in Portland.
