Charles “Bud” Garrison, M.B.A.

Bud has focused a large part of his career on aligning technology with organizational strategies, implementing process improvement, and enhancing productivity for clinical area. In his most recent role, he was the Director of Clinical Informatics and Health Information Services at OHSU. During his 12 years at OHSU he developed the Clinical Informatics Department to enhance the use of the Electronic Medical Record in all clinical areas.

Prior to joining OHSU in November of 2007, Bud was a partner in a small consulting firm in perioperative and critical care information systems and process improvement. He also worked for several startup companies in health care information systems integration, data warehousing and process improvement. He started his career working at Denver General Hospital as a Surgical Technician. Since his semi-retirement in December 2019, he divides his time between taking care of elderly family members, working in Real Estate with his wife and providing consulting services for small business and healthcare clients.
