Community Outreach

The goal of OHSU outreach efforts is to support and strengthen community and business partnerships.

OHSU staff supports and attends community meetings and events to market educational and partnerships with local businesses to strengthen relationships.  A wide range of meetings and organizations are incorporated into OHSU’s outreach efforts including but not limited to the groups featured on this page.  

Attending community outreach events supports and strengthens our partnerships with diverse organizations and communities.

Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs

The Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs holds monthly business networking meetings for small and large businesses and government representatives to discuss contracting opportunities. Additionally, it provides access to capital and technical assistance for small businesses.

National Association of Minority Contractors of Oregon

The National Association of Minority Contractors of Oregon is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to participation in regional construction and design projects faced by minority business owners.

Professional Business Development Group

A trade association in the construction industry, Professional Business Development Group’s primary purpose is to advocate for equity and inclusion in the construction industry and proactively support, mentor, and provide access to resources to minority and disadvantaged businesses enterprises (DBE).

Oregon Pride in Business

Oregon Pride in Business is Oregon's LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce and is composed of a group of businesses, volunteers, and staff that support the interests of its members and champions opportunity, development, and advocacy for Oregon’s LGBTQ+ and Allied business community.

Oregon Minority Business Development Agency

The Oregon MBDA Business Center is managed and operated by Business Impact NW, a non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to serving underbanked entrepreneurs. Identifying and supporting established Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) to achieve targeted objectives, such as boosting revenue and securing government, state, and local contracts.

Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council

An affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development, the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council is a nonprofit organization certifying, developing, and connecting Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) with major corporations and public agencies. We are an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Women’s Business Enterprise Council - Pacific

An affiliate of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, WBEC Pacific’s mission is to drive economic growth, development, and access for Women’s Business Enterprises in a global marketplace by collaborating with our constituents on Certification, Opportunities, Resources, and Engagement.
