Kidney

The physicians and surgeons that care for kidney transplant patients at OHSU have extensive experience in nephrology, surgery and urology. These specialties are most closely involved with diseases of the kidney. They are highly adept at providing health care for all types of kidney disease.

 

Liver

The OHSU Liver Transplant Program has a strong track record of success, a 94% one-year survival rate. We provide state-of-the-art care for patients with end stage liver disease. A comprehensive inpatient service provides focused care of patients with end organ failure. Specialty outpatient clinics provide in-depth pre- and post-transplant care.

 

Simultaneous Pancreas-Kidney

A team of OHSU specialists treats a variety of conditions affecting the pancreas-kidney. OHSU has been performing simultaneous pancreas-kidney (SPK) transplants since 1987. We have the highest quality team of professionals who work closely with patients throughout the transplant process.

  

Laboratory of Immunogenetics and Transplantation

The Laboratory of Immunogenetics and Transplantation (LIT) performs histocompatibility testing in support of area transplant programs which include kidney, pancreas, heart, lung, liver, and bone marrow transplantation. Consultation in test selection and interpretation is available from the Director and technologists.

 

Department of Pathology

The Department of Pathology serves the people of Oregon through educational programs, research and clinical leadership, and by providing high quality, cost effective diagnostic services for the medical center and the community.

  

Department of Diagnostic Radiology

In the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, the education of our residents and fellows is a top priority. Our programs guarantee individual attention as faculty work side by side with residents and fellows. Daily work sessions are frequently interrupted for impromptu interesting case discussions. Faculty members strive to create an environment of sharing meant to stimulate engaging debates and discussions where all trainees and staff are encouraged to demonstrate and sometimes challenge acquired knowledge.

  

Division of Infectious Diseases

The Division of Infectious Diseases is part of the Department of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. We are a group of academic physicians, allied health professionals and nurse practitioners specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and related disorders.

  

Lab Services

OHSU Lab Services offers a full range of laboratory and pathology services, including specialized tests and referrals for unusual laboratory procedures. Testing services are available to the OHSU community as well as to clients around the state and region.

Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank

The Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank (PNTB) is the federally designated organ procurement organization serving Oregon, Southwest Washington and Western Idaho. It is part of the United Network for Organ Sharing's Region 6, which includes all of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.
