1 mL blood in an arterial heparinized syringe.

Stability: Whole blood up to 30 minutes at room temperature, and up to 1 hour on ice.

Pediatric Specimen Requirements:

0.3 mL in a 1 mL heparinized syringe. Deliver to lab immediately.
