SEND TO LAB WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF COLLECTION. Send to lab STAT, ON ICE. Whole blood specimens should be analyzed in less than 30 minutes from draw time. Aliquoted EDTA plasma will be analyzed up to 3 hours following collection if stored and sent on ice.
