4.0 mL blood in serum separator tube (SST). Send 2 mL serum aliquot.
Minimum volume = 1 mL serum
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated
Stability:
Refrigerated (2-8 C) - 5 days
Specimen may be stored on or off the clot, or separator gel.
Frozen -10°C or colder - 8 to 30 days
Remove specimen from clot or separator gel prior to storage.
Pediatric Specimen Requirements:
