Note to graduate students:

MMI graduate students are expected to present their research project in poster format during the poster sessions. We will be setting up posters the morning of November 10th between 8:00am – 8:45am. As seen on the above schedule, there are two poster sessions: 12:00 – 1:20pm and 3:00 – 4:20pm. Posters will stay up for the entirety of the day including happy hour. Your presentation time will be given to you the day of the retreat so be prepared to present at either time. Please send the title of your poster to Molly Brown by October 8th, 2018.

  • Coffee and poster set-up, 7 a.m.
  • Opening remarks, 8:55 a.m.
  • We will end the day with a happy hour from 5:30-7 p.m.
  • If you are presenting a poster, please arrive in time to put your poster up.

Presentations should be no longer than 15 minutes with a 5 minute Q&A to follow. A strict adherence to this will be followed.

All slides should be submitted as PowerPoint files. You can upload these to our MMI Presentations Box folder by Monday, November 5, to allow time for troubleshooting from the presentation computer. There will be folders here named for each presenter.

Any video or audio clips should be uploaded or embedded with the presentation. You may want to set these clips to play automatically or on slide advance (for use with remote).

Please contact Darin Halkides with technical questions or to test your presentation ahead of time, on the Mac that will be used at the retreat.

Maximum poster size is 4'x4’. Posters should be hung in The Orchid Ballroom the morning of Saturday, November 10th before 8:45am at the Oregon Garden Resort. Easels will be available. You are expected to present your poster during the entire poster session.
