The equity journal club provides a space for faculty and administrators that are working on equity programs under OHSU’s research mission to come together and discuss literature and develop conceptual frameworks to establish programmatic best practices.

The journal club has a bank of suggested peer-reviewed articles and other media (e.g., online editorials, podcasts, books, video, etc.) which is compiled by members/attendees of the club. For each meeting a new presenter is selected and they choose which article or media that the group discusses.

The presenter shares their review of the content for the group and also has some discussion questions prepared to facilitate engagement on the topic. Discussion questions typically ask the group how they might apply the content to the programs they work on.
