Interpretation:

A value of 4.1 IU/mL or less indicates a negative result for thyroglobulin antibodies.

The Thyroglobulin Antibody assay is being performed using the Abbott Alinity i method.

Specimen Requirements:

4 mL blood collected in serum separator tube (SST/Gold top). Allow to clot, centrifuge and aliquot serum off cells/gel. Minimum test volume: 1.5 mL serum

Comments:

If the thyroglobulin antibody is abnormal, the test is routed to LabCorp for Thyroglobulin by LCMS. If the thyroglobulin antibody is normal, the test is routed to CHH2 Lab for Thyroglobulin by IMA.
