Use only the woven polyester swab in either the Cobas® PCR Media Uni Swab Sample Kit or the Cobas® PCR Media Dual Swab Sample Kit to collect all other sources.

Urine: 2 mL to 10 mL

Urine specimens must show the top of the liquid level between the two black lines on the Cobas® PCR Media tube label window. If the liquid level is above or below these lines, the specimen has not been collected properly and cannot be used for testing.

4. Anatomic sites: 1) vaginal swabs, 2) first void or “dirty” urine, and 3) penile meatus (Warning: self-collection does not include throat and rectal swabs).
