Dotter Patient Education Project
The Dotter Patient Education Project (DPEP) is an ongoing project by the medical students of OHSU's Inventional Radiology Interest Group. Its goal is to provide high-quality, easy-to-understand educational materials to patients and family members on common procedures in interventional radiology. Our videos and handouts focus on the steps of the procedures and are meant to help patients know what to expect on the day of the procedure. Our PDF handouts cover additional information such as indications, alternatives, risks and benefits of the procedures. These materials do not, by any means, replace the face-to-face education and informed consent process performed by a physician, but are intended to enhance the overall patient experience.
If you have any questions regarding any of our materials, or would like to suggest educational materials for specific procedures, please send an email to kohs@ohsu.edu
