Briana was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in San Diego, California and Portland, Oregon. She holds a B.S. in Community Health Education from Oregon Health & Science University & Portland State University School of Public Health and earned a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Providence. Briana completed two years in Minato-ku Tokyo, Japan working in education and established a passion for organizational training and education. Training over 3,000 healthcare professionals, she specializes in the health consequences of public policies and laws that protect, or target, marginalized communities. Prior to her role at OHSU, she has successfully created programs around employee health and wellness with Providence Health & Services. In her role at the CDI, Briana facilitates DEI trainings and consultations on DEI issues for OHSU members and is currently creating the LGBTQIA2S+ Cultural Humility & Ally training. Briana is an acclaimed speaker and is often requested to consult on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the healthcare and higher education sector.
