Insurance

Many health insurance companies cover bariatric treatment. The best way to find out if yours does is to call the company and ask. Your doctor’s opinion that surgery is medically necessary doesn’t guarantee coverage.

If your plan offers coverage, we’re happy to help you gain authorization. It’s important to understand that different companies require different types of information.

We’ll also help you figure out which parts of treatment are covered. Not every plan covers all the appointments that are needed.

Pricing and self-pay

We provide the most complete bariatric care and most experienced bariatric surgical team in Oregon. Yet we also offer among the lowest prices in the state:

• Gastric sleeve surgery: $16,300 to $20,400
• Gastric bypass surgery: $25,700

These fees cover surgery with one of our expert bariatric surgeons, plus many other services.

They do not cover required appointments with a nurse practitioner, physical therapist and psychologist. They also do not cover appointments you may need with specialists, such as in sleep medicine or heart care.
