Sayali Kulkarni

Sayali-KulkarniI was born and raised in western India. I earned my professional degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and worked briefly as a licensed primary care practitioner before moving to the USA in 2005. Here I also earned my Masters in Biochemistry and worked in Research field for some time. But I always wanted to go back and work in healthcare and thus decided go back to school to become a primary care provider as a family nurse practitioner. A few weeks ago, I graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing in Care and Outcome Management from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma WA. I also have some teaching experience. I taught A&P, Nutrition and Human Biology at local community colleges in WA. All these varied experiences in primary care, biotech research and teaching have enriched my abilities to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Currently at OHSU I am a graduate student in SoN in my first year of Family Nurse Practitioner Master’s program. My goal is to work in primary care setting for underserved population in Oregon.
