Carla Graichen

Carla graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2003 with a double BA in Psychology and Film Production. Upon completion of those degrees she joined the Director’s Guild of America as an Assistant Director. In 2009, Carla left the film industry to pursue a career in medicine. After completing a post bac at USC, she came to OHSU School of Medicine in 2012.   She has been actively involved in working with low-income populations in the Los Angeles area and globally. Carla has traveled to Honduras with Global Medical Brigades to work with healthcare workers to try to bring public health solutions to rural villages outside of Tegucigalpa. She also spent time in Haiti working in a clinic in Cite Soleil. She is an avid supporter of global public health and the right to healthcare. She looks forward to working as a doctor in international public health.
