Transgender Health Program

Description: This two-part training, for medical and behavioral health providers, is focused on foundational knowledge about the needs of gender diverse youth and different treat-ment pathways.
- Part 1: Asynchronous recorded, web-based sessions. Self-paced; access for up to 60 days before and 30 days after live training
- Part 2: Synchronous half-day virtual case-based training with members of the training team.

- Foundational knowledge
- Introduction to development
- Role of the mental health provider
- Working with parents
- Shared decision making
- Suicide risk assessment
- Introduction to medical pathways
- Pubertal suppression
- Gender affirming hormones
- Considerations for non-binary youth
- Concealing secondary sex characteristics
- Considerations for sexual health
- Fertility and preservation
- Role of the primary care provider
Rates:
- Participants not needing CME/CE: $50
- Participants needing CME/CE: $100

Accreditation: Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is ac-credited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit: OHSU School of Medicine designates this other activity (live and asynchronous) for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit com-mensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
