The Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology (CPP program) at OHSU is currently seeking accreditation on contingency. We have submitted our self-study and will be scheduled for a site visit in 2022. The Commission on Accreditation at the APA requires that accredited programs provide the following data to the public:

  • Program costs
  • Internship success rates
  • Attrition rates
  • Licensure rates

 As a new program, we do not yet have data regarding time to completion, internship placement or licensure rates. However, the program provides all currently available data regarding attrition rates and program costs. Please see below. We also provide additional information consistent with our membership in the Council of University Directors of Clinical Psychology (http://cudcp.org/).

The CPP program is designed for students to be able to complete all requirements plus an internship in 5 years (OHSU policy mandates Ph.D. completion within 7 years; https://www.ohsu.edu/school-of-medicine/graduate-studies/forms-and-policies). There are no admissions policies that allow students to enter with credit for prior graduate work. As our first cohort entered in 2019, we have not yet graduated any students.

OHSU guarantees coverage of tuition, fees, and health insurance (including for families) for all matriculated students, and will provide an annual stipend of $34,762 for the 2021-2022 year. The funds are intended to help defray living expenses and miscellaneous costs such as books and travel expenses. Students are expected to be involved in their primary mentor's research lab on a grant-related project. Student teaching is not required to obtain financial support. Stipend funding for the internship year will consist of the stipend provided by the internship. Health insurance during the clinical internship year is provided by the internship site.
