Staff in the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) section maintain multiple computer systems necessary to carry out laboratory operations. These laboratory applications are interfaced to the Hospital Information System to ensure fast and reliable transmission to the electronic medical record to support patient care, research, and academic activities throughout the enterprise.



In addition to system implementation and maintenance, staff in this area are responsible for training, web interfaces, hardware, troubleshooting, and all aspects of system operations.
