Neonatal Resuscitation Program

An evidence-based training program designed to teach providers the technical, cognitive, and behavioral skills required for optimal management of asphyxiated newborns immediately following birth.

At OHSU we offer simulation-based training in neonatal resuscitation.  Simulation is an instructional strategy where learners are immersed in realistic scenarios designed to imitate actual experiences, performance during the scenario is then reviewed with instructors skilled in facilitated debriefing.  Doernbecher Children's Hospital at OHSU offers comprehensive, simulation-based training in neonatal resuscitation based on the most recent recommendations put forth by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation in conjunction with the American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Steering Committee.  Read More about the NRP
