Annie Cao, B.S.
Biography
Annie graduated from Oregon State University in 2019 with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, along with minors in Chemistry and Psychology and a Certificate in Medical Humanities. As an undergraduate, she worked in a cellular and molecular nutrition lab studying the effects of zinc deficiency and arsenic co-exposure on pancreatic beta cells. She has also completed undergraduate research fellowships in cardiac MRI and diabetes-induced inflammation at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Center and the Penn State College of Medicine. Upon graduation, Annie joined CRM and is currently working on applying machine learning to lung ultrasound in diagnosing common pulmonology diseases. Outside of work, Annie enjoys baking, playing guitar, and traveling.
