We're pleased to welcome Karthik Bose to the lab as a postdoc! Karthik brings to our group an expertise in endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondrial stress signaling in cardiomyocytes. He's interested in exploring the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying cardiomyocyte sensitivity or resilience to stress in the perinatal period, when a lot of big physiological changes are going on. We like that Karthik has proven in his previous position that he can work very hard independently, but we're looking forward to having him part of our team!
