This PCR test simultaneously detects all 14 high risk carcinogenic HPV subtypes. The HPV genotypes included are 16, 18, and a pool of twelve others (31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68). SurePath has not been approved by the FDA for HPV testing using the Cobas system, but has been validated by the OHSU Lab for in vitro diagnostic testing. OHSU Lab is a CLIA and CAP accredited laboratory for high complexity clinical testing.
