Woman to Woman at OHSU

To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.

OHSU is one of 30 institutions around the country to host Woman to Woman, a program of the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance Fund. In this free program, gynecologic cancer patients are paired with trained and supervised survivor volunteers who provide one-on-one emotional support and mentoring, as well as promote education and self-advocacy.

In its second year with the program, the OHSU Woman to Woman program has trained eight volunteers and made seven patient matches. Currently focused primarily on supporting those patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer, the program goal is to expand to serve all gynecologic cancer patients at OHSU.
