Mubeen Jafri, M.D., has been appointed Interim Chief for the Division of Pediatric Surgery, effective April 1. Ken Azarow, M.D., will continue to serve as Surgeon-in-Chief of Doernbecher Children's Hospital as well as Interim Chairman for the Department of Surgery and Surgeon-in-Chief of OHSU.
Dr. Jafri obtained his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He trained in General Surgery at the University of Cincinnati and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In 2011, Dr. Jafri came to OHSU. He serves as the Pediatric Trauma Director at both OHSU and Legacy Emanuel Hospitals. His clinical interests include pediatric trauma, hepatobiliary and colorectal surgery.
