2013 Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant for Advanced Practice Providers

Advanced practice providers are invited to participate in this two day course designed to address the day-to-day care of hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients. Speakers will emphasize practical information to improve clinical management of these patients, with sessions designed to address the needs of practitioners in both the pediatric and adult transplant settings.

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss cancer biology and post-transplant immune reconstitution
  • Review disease specific indications for transplantation and current controversies
  • Discuss the management of post-transplant complications including hematologic, cardiac, endocrine/metabolic, and infectious
  • Discuss the latest updates from the NMDP, CTN and International Cord Blood Symposium
  • Identify concerns for survivorship and long-term follow up care
