Nuts-N-Bolts: Managing Discrimination, Retaliation, and Disability (Course: HRNNBHRD)

The Nuts-N-Bolts training series will provide unclassified managers with knowledge, tools, and skill development on topics designed to help them successfully lead, engage, develop, and retain employees.

Managers and supervisors can sometimes be agents of the University and their actions or failure to act can create liability for the University and sometimes for themselves. One of your responsibilities as a manager is to be aware of these obligations and act accordingly. In this highly interactive class we will identify your legal responsibilities and employees' rights relating to discrimination, harassment, retaliation and reasonable accommodation, and present the resources available to help you respond appropriately.Other recommended Nuts-N-Bolts courses: It may be helpful to participate in Progressive Discipline and Managing Intermittent Leave in conjunction with this course. Please note that this session is for unclassified managers, supervisors, and directors.
