The Layton Aging & Alzheimer's Disease Center is recognized as a national leader in dementia care and research. We are one of 30 NIH Alzheimer's Disease Centers in the United States and the only one of our kind in Oregon.

More than 70,000 Oregonians have Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most common cause of dementia in older adults, or a related disorder. These dementias become more common with increasing age.

More than half of Americans over the age of 85 develop problems with cognitive (thinking) impairment or memory. Experts at the Layton Aging & Alzheimer's Disease Center are dedicated to providing outstanding medical care, leading-edge research and education to tackle these dementia problems and provide Alzheimer’s help.

Our experts work with you to learn more about your memory loss and other thinking problems that keep you from fully participating in daily activities. We also partner with your primary care provider and refer you to community resources.
