OHSU

Primary Care Services

Student Health-Primary Care Services

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Women's health
  • Skin problems including the management of acne, warts and biopsy of suspicious lesions
  • Sport or accident-related injury
  • Headaches or other neurologic conditions
  • Cardiovascular problems
  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Urologic problems

Your primary care provider will assess your concerns and address them directly, order diagnostic services such as laboratory or imaging studies when indicated, and if neccesary refer you to specialty services at OHSU or in the community.  Provider visits at JBT are free of charge for all eligible students.  You will need to utilize your insurance to cover the cost of labs, diagnostic testing and evaluations by providers outside of JBT.  Please see our breakdown of potential JBT services that could incur costs.  It is up to YOU to inquire about your own individual insurance coverage prior to services being performed.

If the problems you are experiencing have an emotional or behavioral health component, our primary care providers may consider a referral to one of our Behavioral Health providers. If you seek counseling, you may request an appointment with one of our psychologists or our psychiatrist without first seeing the primary care staff.

Appointments:

We are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm and Thursdays until 5:30.  We are located in the lower level of Baird Hall in room 18.  Appointments can be made by calling (503) 494-8665 or you can make a request via MyChart™.

Same day appointments are available, especially early in the day. Walk-in patients are first seen by the RN and are triaged to the appropriate provider when available.
