RNBS Completion - Online

Students on this pathway will join recent nursing graduates and experienced licensed nurses in our virtual classroom on a full- or part-time basis. Courses are delivered by expert nurse educators;theory courses are online and clinical hours are completed at sites within the students' home community. We also have global opportunities for completing population based clinical hours!

All students in the RNBS program must have an RN license by the end of the first term of the RNBS program.

Delivery method: Primarily asynchronous online learning for theory courses. Clinical courses are hybrid (mix of face-to-face at clinical site and online assignments). One 2-day intensive (in person) for the Population Health course is required.

Opportunities for innovative practice experience in community settings. In many settings this includes care coordination and interprofessional collaboration. Clinical placements occur as close to the students home community as possible.

  • Population Health Practice (NRS 410B) and Integrative Practicum (NRS 426A) focus on the care of vulnerable populations across the lifespan.
  • Clinical assignments for Population Health Practice and Integrated Practicum courses occur over two consecutive terms in one community organization in order to provide students an immersion experience working with an at risk population.
  • A global opportunity exists to complete clinical hours in Nicaragua in fall term for the Population Health Practice course.
  • Leadership in Nursing Course includes clinical hours in an online simulated environment.
