Biography

Dr. Skoog serves as Director of Pediatric Urologic Surgery at Doernbecher Children's Hospital. He completed pediatric fellowship training at Children's Hospital in Washington, DC. Additionally, he received endourology training in London, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy training in Germany, and laparoscopic surgery training at George Washington University. He has also been an instructor in microvascular surgery for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Skoog is a graduate of West Point Military Academy and was stationed in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm.

His primary interests involve endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgical correction of pediatric urologic disease in children. He is well respected throughout the pediatric urologic community and has authored numerous articles on urologic diseases of childhood. He currently functions as co-director of the STEP Clinic specifically designated for children with voiding and elimination problems.
