Who can access JBT services?
Eligible OHSU students, their adult dependents (spouses/domestic partners, adult children), and postdoctoral scholars are eligible to access JBT. You do NOT need to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan to access JBT. Those enrolled in an OHSU program hosted on an OHSU regional campus have access to health services at that regional campus.
What is the cost?
Most services done at JBT are free, and do not require any copays or deductibles regardless of your insurance. JBT will bill insurance for primary care visits, and any charges not covered will be paid for by JBT* (some exceptions apply). Behavioral health visits are always free and are not billed to insurance. It is always more cost-effective to seek care here first rather than seeing providers through your insurance company.
*Some services may incur out-of-pocket costs, such as travel vaccines, acupuncture, and any service referred out or completed outside of JBT (such as bloodwork, labs, imaging, visits to specialists, etc.). Please see JBT's Billing and Fees page or ask for more details.
