OHSU SON awarded Jonas Veterans Healthcare Program Grant

The Jonas Veterans Healthcare Program, a sponsored project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, has awarded a $20,000 grant to OHSU SON to support two Jonas Veterans Healthcare Scholars, Cindi Warburton and Kathy Ingelse

 Both students are in the Family Nurse Practitioner/Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, with a two-year $10,000 scholarship each. The Jonas Center is committed to supporting 50 nursing doctoral students nation-wide who are interested in focusing their research and clinical efforts on the healthcare needs of our extremely deserving veterans. Through this new program, the Jonas Center's vision and intent is to help improve the health of all US veterans, with special emphasis on those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting doctoral level education of nurses who will be involved at all levels of veteran healthcare, from administration and policy to direct patient care and education.
