Erika Cottrell, PhD, MPP

Erika Cottrell, PhD, MPP, is an assistant professor and investigator at OHSU Family Medicine and OCHIN.  She earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA; and her BA in Anthropology from Luther College, Decorah, IA. She joined the OHSU faculty in 2010 as an AHRQ K12 scholar in comparative effectiveness research. Before joining the Department of Family Medicine, she was with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Research Section.  Her primary areas of research include maternal/child health, social determinants of health, health policy, translating evidence into policy and practice, and patient and stakeholder engagement.
