Visiting Students
Requirements for Admission
Visiting student applications are only accepted from fourth-year medical students in good standing who are:
- Receiving an M.D. from a school which is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)
- Receiving a D.O. degree from a school which is accredited by the Education Department of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
If you do not meet these requirements, you are not eligible for a visiting student rotation at Oregon Health & Science University.

- Osteopathic Student from an AOA accredited institution
OHSU requires a criminal background check on all visiting students. If your application is accepted, we will provide you with the necessary additional information. Students will not be allowed to begin a rotation until the criminal background check has been completed.
